Exciting progress is being made on the construction of our new dog pound facility!

The roof framing and sheeting are now in place, giving the building its full shape. Inside, plumbing and electrical systems are currently being installed to ensure the facility is safe, functional, and ready to meet the needs of our furry residents.

These works are scheduled for completion in June 2025.

This important community facility is fully funded by Council and will improve the comfort, safety, and care of animals while they await reunification or adoption.

Charging Ahead: New EV Stations in Warren

We’re excited to announce that electric vehicle (EV) charging is here in Warren!

As part of Council’s commitment to a more sustainable future, we’ve engaged Streamline Energy Group Pty Ltd to install three new 22kW EV chargers at key community locations.

Installation was completed in mid-June 2025, with all stations expected to be up and running by 30 June 2025.

Here’s where you’ll find the new charging points:

  • Windows on the Wetlands (WoW) Centre – Next to the Visitor Information Centre, perfect for eco-conscious travellers.
  • Dubbo Street – Conveniently located beside the Council Administration Centre, ideal for local users and day visitors.
  • Carter Oval Sporting Precinct Car Park – Supporting green transport for sports fans and community events.

This exciting project is jointly funded by Council and the Australian Government’s Local Roads and Community Infrastructure (LRCI) Program. We look forward to seeing more EVs visiting and travelling through our region.
