Notice of Public Exhibition- Procedures for the Administration of the Code of Conduct

Council wishes to advise Council's reviewed Procedures for the Administration of the Code of Conduct will be on public exhibition until 4.00 pm Thursday, 2nd October 2025.
Public submissions will be received for consideration until 4.00 pm Thursday, 16th October 2025.
This Procedure for the Administration of the Code of Conduct outline the process for handling code of conduct complaints, involving the establishment of a panel of conduct reviewers, how complaints are lodged and investigated and the options for resolving alleged breaches.

Notice of Public Exhibition- Review of Code of Conduct

Council wishes to advise that Council’s reviewed Code of Conduct will be on public exhibition until 4.00 pm Thursday, 2nd October 2025.
Public submissions will be received for consideration until 4.00 pm Thursday, 16th October 2025.
The Code of Conduct sets the minimum standards of conduct for Council officials. It is prescribed by Regulation to assist Council officials to:
- understand and comply with the standards of conduct that are expected of them;
- enable them to fulfil their statutory duty to act honestly and exercise a reasonable degree of care and diligence (section 439); and
- act in a way that enhances public confidence in Local Government.

Council wishes to advise that Council’s reviewed Code of Meeting Practice, will be on public exhibition until 4.00 pm Thursday, 2nd October 2025.
Public submissions will be received for consideration until 4.00 pm Thursday, 16th October 2025.
These Codes and Procedure have been reviewed in line with Council’s obligations to adopt a Code of Meeting Practice, Code of Conduct and Procedures for the Administration of the Code of Conduct within 12 months of an Ordinary Election.
The Code of Meeting Practice prescribes a uniform set of meeting rules for Council to ensure meetings of Council and Committees of Council comprising only of Councillors are open, accessible, orderly, effective and efficient.
