Recent Works
Spreading gravel: Old Warren Road.
Rehabilitation work: Warren Road.
Grading: Oakley Road, Pine Clump Soldiers Road and Catons Road.
Shoulder work: Bourbah Road and Carinda Road.
Traffic control: Carinda Road.
Patching: Collie-Trangie Road, Thornton Road, Tottenham Road, Nevertire-Bogan Road, Carinda Road and Bundemar Road.
Guideposting: Warren Road, Bundemar Road, Nevertire-Bogan Road, Tottenham Road, Thornton Road, Cathundral-Bogan Road, Buckiinguy Road, Lemongrove Road, Marra Road and Carinda Road.
Guideposting/Sign spraying: Udora Road, Industrial Access Road and Rifle Range Road.
Road Maintenance and Construction Schedule
Upcoming maintenance and rehabilitation works include:
- Warren Road, Elsinore Road and Carinda Road.
Capital Works in Progress
- Investigation and design work for CBD Improvement Program is nearing completion.
- Warren Road reconstruction, including new culverts, widening of the road, and pavement rehabilitation. Culvert installation has been completed. Toucan Pit Material available, with pavement works now commenced.
- Quotations being analysed for Gunningba Estate Stage 3 investigation and design work.
- REPAIR Program for road works on Marthaguy Road has been paused until 2027. $450,000 of the Regional Road Block Grant funds may be allocated to similar work.
- Gravel re-sheeting of priority roads including Old Warren Road and Buddabadah Road. Gradgery Lane and Colane Road are both now complete.
- Replacement of Newe Park Bridge and Marthaguy Creek Bridge under the Bridges Renewal Program and the NSW Government’s Fixing Country Roads Grant. Design of Marthaguy Creek bridge has been completed on a new alignment to remove the need for power pole relocation and land acquisition. However, the height of the power cable crossing the proposed alignment will need to be improved to ensure compliance. Awaiting Fixing Country Roads funding deed. Tender document is ready.
- Footpath replacement works and kerb and gutter renewal works are complete.
- Urban unsealed roads resheeting.
- Rural Sealed Roads Reseals (Roads to Recovery) and Urban Sealed Roads Reseals (Roads to Recovery) programs have commenced.
- Regional Emergency Roads Repair Program has been confirmed as $3.38 million. A program of work is currently being formulated for TfNSW approval.
