Warren Shire Council is pleased to announce the official appointment of the new Divisional Manager Finance and Administration, Bradley Pascoe, who will commence duties on Monday 24 April 2023.
Bradley is assuming the position previously held by Darren Arthur before his retirement last year, and now temporarily held by Treasurer, Jillian Murray.
With over 19 years of practical local government finance and accounting experience, Bradley has managed finances for Councils at Junee, Oberon, Walgett and Bogan. Most recently, he has worked as a Senior Manager Finance at Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network, and Lead Consultant at LG Insight Pty. Ltd.
In his local government roles, Bradley has become adept at all aspects of finance and administration, including a strong IT background across various corporate databases and systems. He is well practiced at improving operational workflows and processes, financial reporting and management accounting, and people management.
Bradley’s extensive accounting experience is supported by a Master of Business Administration (MBA) (Accounting Major) from Southern Cross University. He is now also working towards completion of his Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) Qualification.
Warren Shire Council General Manager, Gary Woodman, says that Bradley’s advanced skill set and industry knowledge will see him become a valuable asset to the team.
“Bradley is a highly qualified and experienced local government leader, making him the perfect person for the job,” says Mr Woodman.
“He will be a welcome addition to the Finance and Administration Services Department of Warren Shire Council and to the broader community.”
Bradley describes himself as a constantly developing and strategically minded finance practitioner, dedicated to delivering the best service and outcomes for the Warren Shire community.
“I make it a priority of mine to always be learning, growing and improving in my practice so that I can produce the best possible results,” says Mr Pascoe.
“With close to two decades of experience in both the government and private sectors, I will bring my broad financial skill set to this important role.
“I’m looking forward to diving in headfirst and working together with the team to achieve great things for Warren Shire.”
In addition to welcoming Bradley to the team, Council would like to extend its sincere thanks to Jillian Murray for all of her work during her extended stint as Acting Divisional Manager Finance and Administration.
