Media Release: New Family Burial Plots at Warren Lawn Cemetery - Post Image

Local families now have greater choice when planning for the future, with new family burial plots now available at Warren Lawn Cemetery.

The new family burial plots are part of Council's ongoing investment in one of the Shire's most important community spaces.

Designed to provide a shared place of remembrance, the new family burial plots bring together multiple individual burial plots around landscaped memorial gardens.

Depending on the selected design, each family burial plot can accommodate approximately 16 to 24 family members over time, creating a dedicated place where loved ones can be laid to rest together.

Each individual burial plot is designed to accommodate up to two casket burials and one ashes burial, making the family burial plots suitable for both pre-planning and immediate need.

Mayor Greg Whiteley said the new family burial precinct reflected Council's commitment to supporting local families while planning for the future.

"For many local families, Warren Lawn Cemetery is where parents, grandparents and lifelong friends are laid to rest," Mayor Whiteley said.

"Giving families the opportunity to stay together in one place is something I know many people will value and it's good to see Council planning ahead so that choice is there for years to come."

Residents can learn more about family burial plots, including availability, pricing and plot locations, can visit www.warren.nsw.gov.au/community/cemeteries or contact Warren Shire Council on (02) 6847 6600.
