Industrial Access & Carinda Roads Intersection Changes
20 August 2020
There are significant changes coming which will result in vehicles travelling on the Industrial Access Road having the right of way. Vehicles travelling Carinda Road and Dubbo Street will need to Give Way.
This is a major change for regular road users.
Council is urging residents to proceed with caution over the coming weeks while these changes are being implemented. It is acknowledged that the changes could easily be ignored resulting in a motor vehicle accident. To aid these changes, Council has intensified on-site advertising using various forms of media and hard-faced signage which will be in place from now until after the changes have taken place.
The official change over date is Monday 24th August, 2020.
Residents and road users will also notice the installation of the new thermo plastic rumble strips, which have been established on the Carinda Road and Dubbo Street legs of the intersection. At this stage, the rumble strips on the Industrial Access Road approaches will also remain.
There will also be speed limit signage advertising that the 60km speed limits will remain enforced in all four directions to assist with the changes that are being implemented.
The variable notice boards will remain onsite for a period of time, and traffic lights flashing amber will also be installed on all approaches to help alert all road users that there are traffic changes ahead and to proceed with caution.
