Warren Shire has recently attracted several grants for critical infrastructure projects and important regional events.
Following last month's library grant success, we celebrated $5.325M in Commonwealth funding announced for the Warren Levee Rehabilitation and are now seeking additional funds from the State Government to help ensure protection for our community against future flooding events.
In more good news, Council has been awarded just over $2M from Transport for NSW for the rehabilitation of the Warren Road and will also receive $800,000 under the NSW Government’s REPAIR Program 2022/23 for rehabilitation of the Collie-Trangie Road, Segment 18.
A $10,000 Regional Sports Event Fund grant to host a regional pony club clinic and competition, in conjunction with Warren Pony Club, will see our Shire host this three-day event from 28-30 September 2022, and a $9,702 Community Building Partnership grant will see additional facilities at the Warren War Memorial Swimming Pool.
There is much to look forward to in the coming months and with many of our major projects coming to fruition, we will continue to work to improve the quality of life for all Shire citizens.
