From the Mayor's Desk - April Council News
After two years of COVID restrictions, it was wonderful to once again see Warren Shire citizens out in force to commemorate ANZAC Day 2022. Our National Day of Remembrance was commemorated this year with several activities across the Shire including services at Warren and Collie, as well as a march from the Warren Services Club to the Cenotaph in Macquarie Park. Councillors also visited Warren School for their ANZAC ceremony on 4th April.
Council has also been busy progressing its Integrated Planning and Reporting documents, which will lay the foundation for activities, projects and priorities for Warren Shire in the years ahead. Following an initial period of community consultation, these draft documents are currently on public exhibition and we welcome further feedback, prior to their adoption in June 2022.
In addition, we have been continuing to strengthen our region's cultural capital, with concept designs for the Nevertire and Public Art on Private Property Murals endorsed by Council to advance these important tourism and community assets.
