Warren Shire Council is inviting residents, visitors and community groups to come together on Saturday 25 April 2026 to commemorate ANZAC Day in both Warren and Collie.

A full program of services will be held in Warren, beginning with the Dawn Service at 6.00am at the Cenotaph in Macquarie Park, followed by a community breakfast at the Warren Services Club.

The ANZAC Day March will form up at 10.45am near the Warren Services Club and commence at 10.55am, leading into the Commemorative Service at 11.00am at the Cenotaph. A free sausage sizzle will follow at Macquarie Park.

This year’s Dawn Service will include a Catafalque Party from the 1st/19th Battalion, The Royal NSW Regiment (Dubbo), “The Bushman’s Rifles”, standing guard as a mark of respect for those who have fallen.

In Collie, a Commemorative Service will be held at 11.00am at the Collie War Memorial, with tea and coffee available afterwards at the Collie Pub.

Community groups and organisations are invited to take part in the Warren march and wreath laying ceremony. Groups intending to participate are asked to notify Council on 02 6847 6600 to assist with planning.

Individuals are welcome to lay a wreath on the day and do not need to register. Due to limited supply, attendees are encouraged to arrange their own wreaths.

Mayor Greg Whiteley said ANZAC Day remains an important opportunity for the community to come together.

“ANZAC Day means a great deal in communities like ours. It’s a time to pause and reflect on the service and sacrifice of those who have worn the uniform — many from towns just like Warren and Collie.

“It’s a reminder of the mateship and camaraderie that still run strong in our way of life.

I’d encourage everyone to come along, whether it’s the Dawn Service, the march or one of the services later in the morning.

Stand with your community, take a moment to reflect and pay your respects.”

All members of the community are welcome to attend.
